All visitors to the Dominican Republic need a valid passport, upon presentation of which entering the country you'll be granted a tourist visa valid 180 days. Your passport must also be valid for 180 days past your arrival date.

WHAT IS THE ELECTRONIC TICKET ?
It is a digital form required by multiple institutions for entering or leaving the national territory.
It is mandatory for each passenger to truthfully complete the information on the electronic Ticket for the General Immigration Office, the General Customs Office and the Ministry of Public Health, according to dominican laws 285-04, 115-17, 72-02 and 226-06.
Departure Tax
Upon departure from Dominican Republic, passengers are also required to pay a departure tax of $20 USD in cash at the counters prior to check-in.

Available for purchase on South and Europe packages, Option Flex allows travelers to change their travel dates, destination and/or hotel, cancel their trip or transfer their vacation package to a friend or family member, offering them flexibility and peace of mind.
For $89 per person, Option Flex Standard allows travelers to:
• Change their travel dates, destination, hotel, room category or room occupancy up to 72 hours before departure from Canada
• Cancel their trip up to 72 hours before departure and get a travel credit in the amount of the penalty at the time of cancellation, and a refund for the balance
• Transfer their vacation package to a friend or family member up to 30 days before departure
For $149 per person, Option Flex Extra offers even more flexibility than Option Flex Standard and allows travelers to:
• Change their travel dates, destination, hotel, room category or room occupancy up to 24 hours before departure from Canada
• Cancel their trip up to 24 hours before departure and get a refund for the amount paid at the time of cancellation
• Transfer their vacation package to a friend or family member up to 30 days before departure

Once your reservation is secured, you have three (3 days) to purchase the Manulife Premium Protection Plan (PPP). PPP includes Cancel For Any Reason Insurance or CFAR. Please budget approximately 12-15% of your total trip cost for this coverage. Alternatively, you can purchase an All-Inclusive plan which does not include CFAR at a later date. Medical insurance is also available separately if requested.
